Many thanks to all who enjoyed picking pumpkins and doing our Trail in 2022. We have such great feedback each year, and we will continue to keep offering our bit of homemade active fun for the Children! For those interested in what we do see below all of 2022’s details. Look out for 2023 info from late summer…
Halloween at Primrose Vale 2022
We are pleased to announce a return for our ever-popular Halloween trail, and like last year we are also offering Pumpkin Picking! The two activities can be combined on the same day, but please be aware the main road bisects the two sites.
Halloween Farm Trail…
The trail opens from 21st October until 31st October.
Booking is now Live!! Book before 16th October 2022 for discounted tickets!!

The Trail is Ticketed
In 2021, timed tickets helped keep numbers on the farm at sensible levels. We’ll be offering the same experience this year 2022. Tickets must be purchased in advance for specific time slots. Walk-in customers will be accommodated subject to availability, but will be charged an additional £1 per person.
The trail is suitable for children of all ages, but most enjoyed by those between 3 and 15, our trail takes you around the farm to discover various challenges, tasks and puzzles. It’s a great way to spend a few hours, out in the fresh air over the half term – and there’s even a small treat at the end!
We have thousands of home grown pumpkins for sale too at the shop. (for our separate PYO Pumpkin event see below)
Hot drinks and light refreshments will be available from the Potting Shed Café, with seating in our marquee.
Halloween Farm Trail Times
Halloween Farm Trail from 9:00am – 4:00pm (last entry)
Shop Open from 9am – 5pm
Sorry, no dogs permitted on the trail or the pumpkin fields.
NB: All children must be accompanied by an adult. Sturdy footwear is recommended – We won’t close for bad weather, but be prepared for mud! Pushchairs that can cope with grass are normally fine in all but the wettest conditions, but there will be areas you cannot enter.
For those of you who are nervous: there may be some dark areas, but we are not out to scare you!

Pumpkin Picking
8th & 9th October
15th & 16th October
During Half Term 21st October – 27th October
Pumpkin Picking from 9:30am – 3:30pm (last entry)
Shop Open from 9am – 5pm
Sorry, no dogs permitted on the trail or the pumpkin fields.
After the success of last year’s PYO pumpkin experience, we are running a separate ticketed option to enter our PYO fields and pick a pumpkin. There is a charge to enter, (also ticketed, timed entry) but the cost will be redeemable in pumpkins – in contrast with some other farms! Wheelbarrows are available for hire, and you can get a few photos with our giant pumpkin!
Pumpkin Field Location –
Our Pumpkin Field is located to the East of the A46 Shurdington Road, on THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD FROM THE FARM SHOP. Parking is available there – Please watch for signs on approach.
Just be aware if booking early for a later date that pumpkin picking will be subject to availability (which is looking good this year). We aim to run out on the 31st, so don’t leave picking too late!
The pumpkins are where they grew – that means straggly vines, soil, and some weeds too. Come prepared – vines can have prickles, and there may be a few small nettles in patches – so gloves are highly recommended!
The Farm Shop
Farm shop and pumpkin sales (not PYO pumpkins) open as normal (no admission fee!)
Shopping? Regardless of how busy the car park gets, the shop remains relatively quiet… if you are just shopping, don’t be deterred – we keep some easily accessible parking spaces available for you!
