 Key Horticultural Team Member

(Permanent position)

This role involves undertaking all aspects of horticultural work on our small but busy farm. Working alone and under own initiative during quieter periods, but working with and organising up to 4 others for 8 months of the year, applicants must have a strong work ethic and organisational skills. Tasks are hugely varied – no two days are the same; but will include table top strawberry production; planting, maintenance and picking a wide variety of crops from currants to pumpkins, Christmas tree work, general farm repairs, and work on our popular farm trails. There will be some tractor work, most jobs are manual and physical. Good health and fitness is key, as well as a willingness to work outside on most weathers. The role is not customer orientated, but we are a farm that is open to the public.

Training will be given, but agricultural experience would be useful, and soft fruit knowledge an advantage.

Work demands are seasonal by nature, and role could be recurring seasonal for the right applicant.
