What fruit can I pick?

Different fruit is available at different times over the Spring and summer. You can see an overview here.

Strawberries are the first to be available, usually from late May, and we have them throughout the picking season, usually finishing up in September. But please see the below questions about availability.

Do you have fruit available for picking today?

If you would like to know fuit availability for PYO today or tomorrow, please check our PYO page here as we update it daily

Will you have fruit available to pick on a future date, when I am planning to visit?

We can never guarantee fruit availability for a future date. This depends on how well the fruit grows and how busy we are in the previous days.

We generally have a good availability of strawberries in the summer months, but if we have been very busy, for example over a sunny weekend in the school holidays, demand may outstrip supply on occasion, meaning we will need to close PYO early, or even for the whole day, to give more fruit time to ripen.

There is almost always something to pick, but if you are coming for a specific fruit, or a large quantity, please check availability before travelling.

We always recommend checking our PYO page here for updates on the evening before, or the morning of, the day that you plan to visit.

Do I need to book?

No, you do not need to book before visiting us

Do I have to pay for entry?

No! It is free to park and we don’t charge a fee to enter or to use the playground. If you are coming for PYO, you just pay for what you pick!

How much will the fruit that I pick cost me?

Strawberries are £8.95 per kg. One of our small punnets holds around 500g so will cost you roughly £4.50

There is always a list of fruit and the prices per kg on a board outside the farm shop.

Can I bring my own container?

Yes, we always encouage people to bring their own container for fruit picking. Please ask a member of staff to weigh your container in the shop before you go picking, and we will take the weight off of your final price!

Can I bring my dog?
