Halloween at Primrose Vale 2025
We are pleased to announce a return for our ever-popular Halloween trail, and like last year we are also offering Pumpkin Picking! The two activities can be combined on the same day, but please be aware the main road bisects the two sites.
Halloween Farm Trail…
We will be running again over the October half term. Remember our trail is only loosely based on Halloween, and is much more about having fun on the farm!
Our ticketing site is up and running – Standard price is £6.25 for Children, £3.25 for accompanying adults. There are discounted tickets(£5.25 & £2.75) for early purchase of “off peak” dates (23rd -27th Oct & 1st – 2nd November) However you’ll need to book at least a week in advance to get the discount.

The Trail is Ticketed
Timed tickets help keep numbers enjoying the trail at sensible levels, and ensure we have enough parking! Tickets must be purchased in advance for specific time slots. Walk-in customers will be accommodated but only if there is availability, and will be charged an additional £1 per person.
The trail is suitable for children of all ages, but most enjoyed by those between 3 and 15, our trail takes you around the farm to discover various challenges, tasks and puzzles. There’s a choice of 2 trails – one for pre -school age, and one for those that are reading and writing. Don’t worry if you have mixed age group children – we can find solutions to suit your group! It’s a great way to spend a few hours, out in the fresh air over the half term – and there’s even a small treat at the end!
We have thousands of home grown pumpkins for sale too at the shop. (for our separate PYO Pumpkin event see below)
Hot drinks and light refreshments will be available from the Potting Shed Café, with seating in our marquee.
Halloween Farm Trail Times
Halloween Farm Trail from 9:00am – 4:00pm (last entry)
Shop Open from 9am – 5pm
Sorry, no dogs permitted on the trail or the pumpkin fields.
NB: All children must be accompanied by an adult. Sturdy footwear is recommended – We won’t close for bad weather, but be prepared for mud! Pushchairs that can cope with grass are normally fine in all but the wettest conditions, but there will be areas you cannot enter.
For those of you who are nervous: there may be some dark areas, but we are not out to scare you!

Pumpkin Picking
Weekends in October, and October half term (4,5,11,12,18,19,25,26 Oct)
26th onward released subject to availability
Pumpkin Picking from 9:30am – 3:30pm (last entry)
Shop Open from 9am – 5pm (10 – 4 Sun)
Sorry, no dogs permitted on the trail or the pumpkin fields.
We run a separate ticketed option to enter our PYO fields and pick a pumpkin. There is a small charge to enter, (also ticketed, timed entry) but the cost will be redeemable in pumpkins – in contrast with some other farms!
Pumpkin Field Location –
Our Pumpkin Field is located to the East of the A46 Shurdington Road, on THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD FROM THE FARM SHOP. Parking is available there – Please watch for signs on approach.
Just be aware if booking early for a later date that pumpkin picking will be subject to availability (which is looking good this year). We aim to run out on the 31st, so don’t leave picking too late!
The pumpkins are where they grew – that means straggly vines, soil, and some weeds too. Come prepared – vines can have prickles, so gloves and boots are highly recommended!
The Farm Shop
Farm shop and pumpkin sales (not PYO pumpkins) open as normal (no admission fee!)
Shopping? Regardless of how busy the car park gets, the shop remains relatively quiet… if you are just shopping, don’t be deterred – we keep some easily accessible parking spaces available for you!
