Pumpkin Picking at Primrose Vale.
It is with great disappointment that due to the interactive nature of our Halloween trail, we have concluded it cannot go ahead this year, so instead you can head to our fields to pick your own.
We are releasing tickets online starting Saturday 17th October. Tickets will be released each day at 5pm for the following Day, in the same way our PYO worked through the summer. Tickets are free, and will allow you to enter and walk to our Pumpkin patch following our one way system, from where there will be thousands of pumpkins to choose from, plus lots of photo opportunities with some true monsters.
BOOK YOUR TICKETS HERE
Group sizes are limited to 6, and will be in accordance with any current Government guidelines. (This of course may be subject to change should rules change further). We don’t expect to be so busy Mon – Fri 19th – 23rd but ticketing will be in place to avoid unexpected crowds.
The pumpkin patch is not in a muddy field – due to the nature of our site we have created an area on grass, which should mean less muddy feet and cleaner pumpkins!
A limited number of sanitised Wheelbarrows will be available for hire (£2 per use) should you not wish to carry your pickings in your arms.
Our play area will also be ticketed with timed sessions, with time for us to clear down for the next group…
If you just want to pop in for a pumpkin, that’s no problem, we are now selling them through the shop, and we will have staff outside to serve you too.
Hot drinks and light refreshments will also be available.
See below for how we’d like it to be in a normal year!

Unless the current coronavirus advise changes dramatically, our Easter trail will no longer be running. We are focusing on serving the local community with our produce through the shop as best we can through these challenging times…
Hopefully you will be able to come and join us for some the fun in the fresh air during the Easter holidays. We plan to be open 10am – 4pm Daily from Friday 3rd April – Sunday 19th April 2020!
Our Easter trail runs each year over the 2 weeks of the Gloucestershire Easter holidays. Suitable for children of all ages, but most enjoyed by those between 3 and 13, Its quieter than our Halloween trail, and great fun for all ages.
Due to the current Coronavirus concerns our plans for 2020 are under constant review, and may need to change at short notice…
Currently we do still plan to run a modified trail – with 10 challenges around the farm. However they will all be hands off activities, with no need to share equipment. Pre- school and school age trails will be combined (partly due to the continuing wet conditions making some areas of the farm inaccessible). This also means that there will be a reduction in price (actual reduction to be confirmed) but there will still be a small treat for all participants, though options to choose will be limited.
We will not be offering clipboards and pencils this year, so if you wish to record your answers (not essential), please bring your own!

We have thousands of home grown pumpkins for sale of all shapes and sizes in our pumpkin barn!
Hot drinks and light refreshments will be available from the Potting Shed Cafe, with seating in our marquee.

NB: All children must be accompanied by an adult. Sturdy footwear is recommended – We won’t close for bad weather, but be prepared for mud! Pushchairs that can cope with grass are normally fine in all but the wettest conditions, but there will be areas you cannot enter.
For those of you who are nervous: there may be some dark areas, but we are not out to scare you!
Farm shop and pumpkin sales open as normal (no admission fee!)
Note: How busy we are depends hugely on the weather, However peak times are dry weekdays 10am – 1pm! Afternoons and weekends (yes really!) tend to be less busy… Be aware you may be directed to park across the main A46 at peak times.
Shopping? Regardless how busy the car park gets, the shop remains relatively quiet… if you are just shopping, don’t be deterred – we keep some easily accessible parking spaces available for you!
